The "Innovation on the Edge: Accelerating Solutions in the Fight Against Ebola" event was held in Washington DC, on April 2nd, 2015. Linus Bengtsson, a pioneer of the use of mobile operator data in humanitarian situations, attended to contribute his expertise in the field. The event rallied "White House and USAID staff, field practitioners, Federal agencies (including CDC and DOD), entrepreneurs, and the philanthropy community" to solve the most pressing issues of the Ebola crisis, running in tandem with a "Fighting Ebola: A Grand Challenge for Development" industry innovation challenge.
